Flexibility

We understand that our adult students have busy lives which means you might not be able to commit to a regular weekly lesson. We do our best to fit in with your schedule and offer lessons before work, throughout the day as well as in the evenings.

Many people decide to take up or return to an instrument later in life. Whether you played as a child or are a complete beginner, learning the piano can be an extremely rewarding way to expel the stresses of work and every day life.

It really is true that it is never too late to start - we will get you playing with both hands in the first lesson even if you have never played before!

Our adult students come to us for a variety of reasons - to improve their classical technique,  to master a particular piece or to improve their knowledge of harmony so they can write that hit  song.

Although our lessons are primarily concerned with the piano, we integrate a more general musical education into our lessons. From history to harmony, a pianist with good all round knowledge of their instrument has a better approach to and appreciation of the material.

Above all, we listen to what you want.  We teach a vast range of repertoire from Bach to Shostakovich, Gershwin  to Muse. We can focus on the music that interests you and hopefully broaden your horizons by introducing you to something new as well.

As we all know, practice makes perfect.  Since regular practice will help you develop your skills, it is important to learn how to most effectively use time at the piano to achieve the best results.
