Aural Skills
So often, during instrumental lessons, there just isn’t time to cover this part of the syllabus thoroughly. Many students struggle with sight-singing and this is usually simply due to lack of practice. We have devised a morning devoted entirely to this hugely important area! Our group classes include the following:
- How to sight sing using the moveable do technique as well as scale degree numbers
- Memorising melodies and singing them back
- Recognising musical eras and describing their features
- Recognising and describing cadences
This course is suitable for all children who play any instrument to the appropriate level. The cost of the morning is £60. The course runs from 9am-12pm and all materials provided as well as drinks and snacks.
